                                                                                                           Lubricant Price Increases

Exxon Mobil and ConocoPhillips have recently announced what we hope to be the last round of major oil price increases for this year.  ConocoPhillips’ prices are effective with deliveries commencing August 27^th.  ExxonMobil, on the other hand, is increasing their prices on September 1^st.  These increases range from 15-18% over current pricing levels.
 

Although it is impossible to predict what is in store for the balance of the year, the recent reduction in crude oil pricing is a clear signal that the economy can no longer shoulder the high cost of petroleum products.  Let’s hope that the downward trend continues.
